Drive and Park Safely

Drive and park safely near Liverpool Girls High School

30 km Speed Zone Areas 

Keep children safe by remembering the following:

·drop and pick up children on the school side of the road

·slow down to 30km/h in the school zone and stay aware of crossings

·always take extra care when driving in 30km school zones

·follow all parking signs - these help keep children as safe as possible

·park responsibly even if this means you have to walk further to the school gate

·never double park - it is illegal and puts children at risk

·never do a U-turn or three-point turn outside the school as it puts children at risk of harm

Please note:

·Bus Zones are in operation between the hours of 8am – 9:30am in the mornings and 2:30pm – 4pm in the afternoons.

·There is no parking on the opposite side of the road from the school

·The loading zone in front of the school is in operation from 8:15am through to 3:45pm

As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

Keep our school community safe by:

  • driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
  • being a good role model
  • never calling your child from across the road
  • using the safest place to cross the road.
