Drive and Park Safely

Drive and park safely near Liverpool Girls High School

Keep children safe by remembering the following:

Drop and pick up children on the school side of the road.
Slow down to 30km/h in the school zone and stay aware of crossings.
Always take extra care when driving in 30km school zones.
Follow all parking signs - these help keep children as safe as possible.
Park responsibly even if this means you have to walk further to the school gate.
Never double park - it is illegal and puts children at risk.
Never do a U-turn or three-point turn outside the school as it puts children at risk of harm.

Please note:

Bus Zones are in operation between the hours of 8am – 9:30am in the mornings and 2:30pm – 4pm in the afternoons.
There is no parking on the opposite side of the road from the school.
The loading zone in front of the school is in operation from 8:15am through to 3:45pm.

driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
being a good role model
never calling your child from across the road
using the safest place to cross the road.

Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.

The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
