Year 9 – 10 (Elective History)
The study of History Elective is offered over two years. It enables students to investigate the actions, motives, and lifestyles of people over time, from individuals and family members, to local communities, expanding to national and world history contexts. In year 9 students are introduced to archaeology, sites such as ancient Greece, historical mysteries such as Jack the Ripper, and gender studies: Herstory. In year 10 students undertake a film study analysis, learn about mythology, and delve deeper into the Jewish Holocaust and Apartheid, two events that changed the world.
