GLIDES - our school magazine
The GLIDES team is an active group of students who show an interest and flair in design and journalism. Students work together with staff to develop skills with software programs such as InDesign to develop a high quality magazine for the enjoyment of the school and the local community.
Learning Aims
- Improve literacy and visual skills in targeted students and assist with general well-being of students, building self confidence and success;
- provide extended activities for GAT students in journalism, photography, writing and design;
- create a magazine which celebrates diverse interests and values of our students and promotes positive female role models;
- produce a school product which is both educational and entertaining and which students are proud to be involved in and to read;
- report on events in the school and showcase the school's success in the community;
- provide information about the school and the local community; and
- show pride in our school.
