Community of Schools (@COSlead) is an community initiative that has a strong focus on best practice in professional learning, job embedded and action research as well as networking opportunities.
This initiative also has a strong emphasis on growth coaching with a link to 21st Century Teaching and Learning Pedagogies.
Strategy
Develop a whole-school pedagogy and commitment by all stakeholders in a school improvement strategy to provide best practice in all classrooms.
- Participation in collegial discussions with a focus on reflection and feedback linked to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- 2 weekly planning meetings and ongoing reciprocal teaching sessions.
- Evidence in classroom programs
- Ongoing professional learning on effective assessment procedures.
Instructional Rounds
Instructional Rounds in Education is intended to help educational leaders and practitioners develop a shared understanding of what high-quality instruction looks like and what schools and community of schools need to do to support it.
