ABOUT THE FACULTY
The PDHPE Faculty is committed to providing quality teaching and learning programs that highly engage students and enable them to develop the skills required to make positive lifelong health decisions. The faculty helps students to learn about healthy living and healthy life choices so that they can aim for a healthier lifestyle, to make appropriate and sensible choices, avoid uninformed risk taking and be able to cope with an ever changing world. We are an outgoing faculty who are not only passionate about engaging students in the classroom but are also dedicated in providing an extensive range of sporting and dance opportunities to allow students an opportunity to excel outside the classroom.

OUR STRATEGIES
- Aligning SMART data with learning programs, embedding literacy and numeracy learning for explicit development and focus.
- Using FITBIT technology to monitor students heart rates during physical activity so students can be working within their target heart zone in order to improve overall fitness
- Targeted PE classes to further develop movement skill, incorporate game tactics and strategies in team game environments
- Create new methods to assess student learning that provides students timely and meaningful feedback
- Provide an extensive range of sporting and dance opportunities for students to apply skills taught in the classroom in competition settings or live performances.
- Faculty development workshops to assist the ongoing development of teaching and learning programs
