About the Faculty

The Social Sciences Faculty is committed to opening the minds of its students to the world around them. The faculty offers courses across the school curriculum at Liverpool Girls' High School, introducing students to arts, humanities, civics and citizenship as well as social education. We believe our students will be the leaders of the future. This will be both challenging and exciting. Opportunities exist for all students to achieve their potential through a range of subjects and activities. Our subjects and courses are designed to encourage students to think about the world in new and different ways and enable them to develop and appreciation of the physical, social and cultural aspects of society.

Students undertaking courses in Social Sciences are provided with a range of opportunities to experience course content in the real world. Students are able to participate in field work activities, commerce market day, school excursions, academic competitions such as Mock Trial, Worldskills and the Australian geography competition.
